It's possible that your photos are cliché and "post-cardy" as you say... but you've got a good eye, and you have the motivation to keep working on being more creative. And you are aware that you are lacking some creativity. That's the first step. I mean look at all my crap, it's all very mediocre. Keep shooting! (Not guns.)
